About Gerald C. Schober
Gerald Schober is a well respected industry professional with over 25 years of Public School construction, contracting, and management experience, with a background that includes contracting, estimating, value engineering, purchasing, consultation, and program and project management on a wide variety of Public Works and Institutional projects. Prior to starting SCMC, Incorporated in 2004, he began Schober Construction in 1996 as a General Contracting company which provided construction services to several local school districts. As President of SCMC, Inc., and a licensed General Contractor in the State of California, he possesses a truly unique and un-paralleled personal knowledge of field construction means, methods, and management techniques as well as design, bidding, purchasing, and contract procedures from both the Owner’s and Contractor’s perspective. SCMC has focused on K-12 public schools as its primary business since 2004, constituting over 90% of clients. Although based in Thousand Oaks, field offices are established for long terms clients within their respective immediate jurisdictional boundaries.
 
As a Program and Project Manager, Mr. Schober has extensive personal experience in the consultation and management of Federal, State and Local Agency funded Projects, including FEMA, OES, and OPSC Williams funding procedures. His diversified knowledge includes bid and purchasing procedures, legal requirements and regulations, specification writing, Public Agency Accounting Protocols and Procedures, Bid Package preparation, and full service Program Management from conception through closeout.

SCMC, Inc. holds a “B” California State Contractors License, number 836506. In addition, Mr. Schober, President of SCMC, Inc. also holds a Sole Proprietorship “B” California State Contractors License, number 722252. Both licenses are in good standing. SCMC, Inc. is an “S” Corporation formed in the State of California on February 20, 2004. Mr. Schober is the sole principal of the firm.

Associated staff function as independent contractors at this time in order to provide flexibility in serving a particular clients needs.
